Help Me Name My New Firefighter Series!

posted in: Uncategorized | 64

Hi everyone,

I need your help! As some of you may know, I’m writing a new (very hot) rescue firefighter series. But I’m having trouble coming up with good name for the series. Since Aftershocks, the prequel to the series, is coming out next month as part of the Romance in the Rain anthology, things are getting serious. 😀

That’s where all of you come in. Give me your suggestions along with your email address. Suggestions close on Thursday, and we’ll vote on the winning title on Friday. Does this sound like fun?

Here’s some info that might help you:
– the series takes place in Seattle
– the series is racy (more so than my Deadly Vices series)
– the covers will feature sexy torsos
– the firefighters are from the technical rescue team. Although they are firefighters and can assist on fire rescues, the technical rescue team typically handles the more difficult or unusual rescues like building collapse, tunnel rescues, confined space rescues, heavy equipment rescues, marine rescues, search and rescue, etc.

If I use your suggestion, you will win the 2013 NYC Firefighter Calendar! If for some reason I don’t use any of the suggestions, I’ll randomly pick a winner from the comments.

Note: by submitting a series title in this contest, you are doing so freely and are consenting to my using it free of any charge or attribution. Contest closes

Ready? Okay let’s start.

I'm SO excited that you'll be writing this new series! Since Jo Davis, I haven't found another firefighter series to love 🙂

Hazardous Rescue / Hazardous Heat / Hazardous Duty
Men Who Walk The Line of Fire (or Danger)
    Seattle Fire Storm
    Seattle Rescue (Team)
    Rescue Me
    Under Control
    Seattle Saviors
    Playing with Fire
    Five Alarm Saviors/Heroes

Michelle, I'm thrilled that your excited and I hope you'll love the series! I haven't read Jo's books, but I'm planning to! As for your suggestions – wow! Thank you so much. There are so many great ideas in that list. Woo-hoo!

Kristine – Looks like you've got some great ideas here, I can't wait to find out what you choose! I don't have much either but how about some version of "Local 27 Heat", their IAFF Union is #27..

    Good Luck!

I can't get this one out of my brain, so here goes: " Emerald City Hot Rescue". "Hot" is a double entendre; meaning the rescues are dangerous and often involve high-risk situations, and the obvious-red-hawt guys providing sizzling encounters!

How about doing something something with their alarm calls, like One Alarm Hero, Two Alarm Sizzle, Three Alarm Hard, Four Alarm Hot, Five Alarm Built, Six Alarm Sexy…or any combination thereof! Good luck to you!

Looks like some already thought of a couple:
    But Here I'll Shoot…

    Sizzled (or Sizzling) in Seatle
    Seattle's Brazen Blaze
Heroes of (you can say the station # or you say Seattle's Best)
Hearts a Blaze (If you have a character with the last name Hart then…)
Sparkes of Seattle (or Sparked in Seattle)
